Turner Remodeling handles residential and commercial remodels including, but not limited to:
Kitchens, Baths, Decks, Garages, Second Story Additions, Handicap Accessible Spaces and much more.
Every project begins with a visit to your home or commercial space. After an initial consultation over the phone or in person, we will visit the site to visualize the project, get a sense of what you like and the style of your existing home or building. At this time measurements and photos may be taken.
Start with your own detailed set of plans, or just share your ideas. Turner Remodeling is equally comfortable working with a designer or coming up with a plan that suites you. Depending on the project, we may suggest a specialty designer or draftsman to assist with the design process.
Know your budget. Knowing your budget will help us to estimate your project. To keep your project within your budget we may suggest changes to the overall plan or give give you product options.
Turner Remodeling will produce a written estimate. We will contact any subcontractors necessary for the job, then calculate an estimated cost of labor and materials. Depending on the complexity of the project, we may contact you by phone, fax or during a scheduled face-to-face meeting to present our proposal.
Estimates include allowances for lighting, cabinetry, flooring and other variables based on your initial consultation. Before work begins, these allowances will be exchanged for actual costs of goods, based on your selections.
Turner Remodeling takes the time to help you understand the 'nuisance factor' in remodeling. It's a touchy subject, but one that is better addressed very early in the process. In most cases, families remain in their home while work is underway. If the project entails the kitchen or the only bath in the home, it's stressful for both crew and homeowners. Turner Remodeling has learned to alleviate some of the problems:
1. Dust and Dirt Turner Remodeling may recommend that you pack up delicate items during the construction process. The crew 'drapes and tapes' off the construction zone and makes every effort to minimize dust and dirt, but even so, remodeling is dirty work.
2. Children and pets create special issues for safety and interruptions. We like to clearly define boundaries when the job begins so there are no misunderstandings.
3. Because Turner Remodeling is working within an existing landscape rather than a construction site, we will need to work out where lumber and materials will be unloaded, a good spot for a dumpster and other issues before work begins to minimize disturbances.
Early planning is always best. Because some products like kitchen cabinets, flooring, and windows take time to ship, it is always best to plan your project early. This helps to ensure that the project meets your deadline.
You always know who to contact when you have a question, because Turner Remodeling handles the entire project from the foundation to the finishing touches. Turner Remodeling has built solid relationships with competent subcontractors who handle electrical, plumbing, tile and other specialties. We coordinate the complex schedules with our own crew to make sure the entire job site runs smoothly from start to finish.
1. Turner Remodeling is the quality control on your project. When Turner Remodeling manages your project, every aspect must live up to Rod's strict standards for workmanship and attention to detail.
2. Once construction is underway, there will always be someone on the job site or you will know why not. We schedule carefully to be sure your project is finished as expected.
From start to finish, Turner Remodeling knows that good communication is the key to a smooth running job.
